Great Grandparents Part Deux (My Side)

Well, we went to see my Nana this weekend, my Mom and I. After driving, practically, through a tornado and severe hail damage to my vehicle, we made it! I have never felt the way I felt while driving a couple nights ago, motherhood is amazing. I felt the urge to do everything in my power to protect my baby boy from this awful storm we traveled through. Used to I would be so scared of storms, and trust me I still am, but I didn't care about anything more than getting Cash out of my car into a safe house! Luckily, we did safely arrive to my Uncle Tony's house in Sherman, TX. Watch out for those Texas Tornadoes! Otherwise, we had a great visit and I think my Nana really enjoyed seeing another Great Grandchild! I think she has, in the ballpark range, about 5 or so, maybe more...We have a good sized family on my Mom's side so sorry if I am wrong on the numbers! We are home and safe now so I will meet with my insurance about my car soon!

We had a great visit this weekend. Cash slept the entire way, well except for the last 15 minutes. He woke up and was hungry and wet. We went to Mama's shoe store that she works at for her retirement party and all of our family was there! Cash was till not a happy camper! When went to the house though he was fine a slept and let people pass him around! I am so glad we got to see everyone and show him off!

Cash 1 Month Birthday

How sweet is my baby? He is 1 month old today! I can't believe it has already been a month! I can assure you that this has been the best month of my life though! He is the best!

Cash's First Bath

I got to give Cash his first bath today! How exciting! He loved it too! He didn't even make a peep. Just hung out and let me suds him up! I love the way babies smell fresh out of their baths!

Cash James is born

Supporting those Hogs at a young age!

We were to be at the Labor and Delivery unit at St Vincent's at 8:00 p.m. December 30, 2008 to start the enducing process. We were so nervous, so before, we went to Shoguns to eat and then to the mall, my safe haven, to calm our nerves. We walked around for a short period of time just looking at baby stuff and talking. Before we left the house even we said, " the next time we are back here we will have a baby." It was so crazy to think about but also very exciting! We finally made it into the Labor and Delivery unit at 9:45ish, we had to wait for a room, and I had until 11:00 p.m. to eat or drink anything. The nurses didn't get me all hooked up to all the machines until 10:45 p.m., which left me no time to eat or hardly drink anything. I was on my way to childbirth! WOW! The nurses at St Vincent were amazing, I had a great experience and felt nothing! Finally, after about 45 min of pushing at 8:40 p.m. , Cash James Copeland had arrived! He was 7 lbs. 8 oz., 21", and beautiful! We got into the mother baby unit 5 minutes before the ball dropped in NYC! It was the perfect day!
